Admit to Rajuk.

Hi people. It's me again. I was in Bhola for some days. And that's why I was unable to post my next topic which I was supposed to. The network in Bhola country-side isn't so well. That's why I had to stay without internet for the past few days. However, I used to get internet sometimes by standing outside under the clear sky, helding the mobile high. But it isn't possible to stay in that position more than 10 minutes. I'm gonna write about my visit to Bhola soon. I returned like a month ago, but school resumed as soon as I returned. So I didn't get any time to complete this post. My summer vacation has started even though it isn't yet summer yet, its more like spring vacation. Anyways, I got enough time now. And now, I'll get back to the main part.

Now, I'm going to write about what happened to me in 2015, and how I got admitted to Rajuk Uttara Model College, and how I spend my year as a Rajukian.

I really wasn't supposed to study in RUMC. It happened that, our school started coaching class, which we thought was for the upcoming PECE. So, I along with some others started coaching. After few days, we understood that it was for RUMC admission. I thought I will soon stop coaching. However, things became different after that. My parents decided that it would be good if I get a chance at RUMC. So, they continued my coaching. After the PECE exam, the coaching classes became more serious. And the coaching ended three days before the admission exam. In the exam, I saw RUMC for the first time. It was really wonderful. And the building was designed perfectly. The playing field was very large. There were also two basketball fields. And now I really wanted to get the chance to study there. So, the admission exam for English Medium-Morning Shift started at 2:30 PM. I was a little nervous. I recognized none in the large classroom. None of the students sitting around me were talking, perhaps they too were nervous. And just before the exam was to start, I finally saw a familiar face. It was an old friend of mine. His name was Rubayet Abrar. His first name matches my nickname. We used to study together in the same class till he decided to skip a class and moved one class above me. His familiar face gave me a  little courage. And as the exam started, the whole building became quiet. The exam was quite hard. It wasn't possible to answer all those things in 2 hours. So, everyone skipped some questions. I'd say the exam wasn't so bad. And the next day, gave the admission exam for English Medium-Day Shift. And on this day, I met many of my old friends who all desired to study at RUMC. All those faces gave me courage. And at the exam hall, I met my classmate Ismail Hossain. I was really glad to see him, and so was he. And after a while, I realized that his seat was just in front of me. We both were surprised. However, even though we both expected to help each other in the exam, we couldn't. The invigilators were very strict. There was hardly any chance to move our head. And so, we finished the exam without helping each other. Some of the questions were a bit odd. But I answered them all. We left the hall after giving the exam, all praying that they may get selected.

The result was given after 10 days. It was given along with the PECE result. I needed to get GPA-5 in PECE to get selected in RUMC. And luckily, I did! I was relieved, but I still had to see the result of RUMC. I got the result from their website. And I found out that I've been selected for the viva. I was so happy that time! I later found out that among all my other friends, only three got selected. I was a bit unhappy, as I was going to see only two familiar faces at RUMC. A few days later, I went to give the viva test, it was very simple. I had to wait a few more days for getting the final results. And then, I did get it. I was now primarily selected! But one of the three friends of mine was listed in the waiting list. And when we finally got admitted, we later heard that my friend who was in the waiting list didn't get selected at the end. Our induction ceremony was on 10th January. The induction ceremony was truly epic! Everyone enjoyed it! Class Six English Medium Morning Shift was divided into three forms. And I was in Form B. Our form master was Narayan Chandra Mazumdar. Our form master is said to be very popular among all the students of RUMC. And students of upper classes told us how awesome our Form Master is. All teachers have a codename or short name. Our form master was more well known as NC sir. Our classes started on 12th January. As time passed we realized how lucky we are to get NC sir as our form master.

After a month, all the students had already known each other and I made several friends. As time passed, the other teachers understood how talkative all the students are. The classroom of every form is divided into three parts. In our form, boys were on two sides, and girls were in the middle. The side in which I used to seat, was always quiet. It was actually the other side boys and the girls (yes, girls gossiped during class time too) who make noise in the classroom. But the teachers never bothered to see who were talking and who were not, and used to punish all the students. It was worse during some teachers. As teachers are not habituated to see girls making noise, they thought it was all the boys making noise and used to punish the boys only. We boys later got habituated to this. Time goes on, exams are held, and I realize that the students are way more intelligent than me. I'm falling behind in exam. I must improve further. We are given long vacations during summer and Eid. The school year ended with a class party. Overall, it was one busy and interesting year.

2014, a busy year.

Hi people, it's me again. And today, I'm going to tell you what happened to me in 2014. 2014 was one of the most busiest year till now. I was in class five. And in our country, all students are required to give a national exam. The Primary Education Completion Examination is taken in class five. And even before I got into class five, I was told to prepare for the exam. So, I took preparation from the last of class four till the exam.

I took the class five books early. And prepared myself starting with Math. And I really didn't had any free time then. As school resumed, things got more harder. Well,  luckily, we only had six subjects. It was the same routine everyday. Teachers were really strict now. And they would take tests every day. And so, the study pressure increased on everyone. Even the most weakest students were serious and got detention every day.

Model tests were taken as a preparatory test for the upcoming exam. All did good result. And the most surprising thing was that I had improved. I never crossed the 3rd position in my class since class one. And now, I have stood 2nd. I was really glad, and the others were astonished. Although I couldn't take the 1st position, I stood 3rd and 2nd the rest of the tests.

Exam is closing in. And I've also got my first detention. Though, I was released really quick, I still thought that I was still not well prepared. So, our school closed, and we all took well preparation. I revised every subject very well. And now, it's time for me to attend the exam. The PECE exam started on 26 November. I was really nervous. Our exam seats were really far from our home and school. And as I entered the exam hall, I felt more nervous. I was afraid how the other students might be. I was also afraid how students of our school might behave. The invigilator came, and she wasn't so strict. As the exam started, I stopped thinking about everything else, and concentrated on the exam. The questions were quite easy and so I answered very easily.

Our exam ended on 30 November. I was now relieved. And free, although not totally. Perhaps I didn't mention that besides preparation for PECE, I was also preparing for the admission exam at Rajuk Uttara Model College. It's the best high school in the country. From September, we started coaching for the admission exam. Because we all wanted to study there. As the coaching continued, we learnt many new things, things we never learnt before. And that was when we realized how hard the admission exam is going to be. So, alongside preparation for PECE, we also prepared for the admission exam. The admission exam was 19 days after the PECE. I applied for two shifts, English Medium Morning Shift, and Day Shift. Others also applied for Bangla Medium, too. The result was published along with PECE. I got two great news at a time! I got a GPA 5 in PECE and got into the merit list in Rajuk Uttara Model College admission test, which meant that there's a high possibility of me getting a chance to study there. As 2015 approached, I became really glad and proud of my hard work which resulted me getting great results. Though, I didn't get any gifts for my success, but getting the chance to study at Rajuk Uttara Model College was what I only wanted. At the end of the year, I realized how hard I had worked in 2014 and greeted 2015. 2015 wasn't how I expected. But I'm glad there's a next year. I'm soon gonna write about 2015. But from 2014, I have understood that hard work truly rewards great results.

Marking my return with an apology.

Hi, it's me again, posting after two years. I last posted on 15th September, 2013 about my birthday. And then I didn't post anymore. It was all my own fault. I now understand how addicting computer games are. Yep, I got addicted to gaming. And I absolutely forgot about my blog. And ultimately stopped writing. So, many things have happened till now. I'm gonna write about them all. I've become more fluent in English now. And I now realize that I have to write more descriptively. Apparently, right now, my computer is broken. So, I'm on my phone. A lot of things happened to me this year (2015). And these have led me to finally remember my blog. It happened that, I got a chance in my country's best school, made many new friends. And then, one of my friends, Suraz, asked me to visit his blog Suraz's Word World. And that was when I realized that I too have a blog. I visited his blog and found that he was very regular there and had made at least one post every month. I was then ashamed of myself. It was my cousin who had encouraged me to make a blog. And he used to encourage me daily to write on something. And I used to write on Open Office, and he used copy them and post them on the blog. Apparently, he now has a job of his own and is rarely free. So, I decided not to bother him anymore and besides, the computer is not working. It was too late when I realized that I had to get back to my blog. New school, busy life, assignments every week. Exams are getting more difficult. It's the end of the year now, and I finally got some free time. So, here I am on my own, writing this post. I'm not sure if there's anyone who used to visit my blog regularly to see if I make any post, but if there was anyone who did, I express my apology to him/her/them. I hope I'll be able to write more from now on and will not forget my blog again. Thank you for staying with me.

My Birthday Party

My Birthday Party

15th September, 2013. My Birthday. That day was very exciting for me. All the preparations were done the day before birthday and during the day of 15th September. I had school that day too. So I invited everyone to come on my birthday. At night, some of my friends came. Some of my relatives came too. They all came with gifts. At 8 o'clock, the party started, there were many decorations. There were 12 balloons. A table in the middle with a beautiful home-made cake. It looked very beautiful. Later, my cousin placed the candles on it. And after that, I blew the candles and everyone clapped. The cake was delicious. Everyone liked it very much. After that, I and my friends played and had fun. All the guests were asked to have their dinner at our house. When we were having our dinner, for some reason, ELECTRICITY FAILURE. At first I thought my party has been ruined, but later it became much better. We used candles for light. It was like a candle-light dinner. After having dinner, I went with my friends to drop them off at their house. I was now 12 years old. I believe I am now old enough and I think I won't have anymore birthday parties. So for now, this was my last amazing birthday party.

We also went over a big bridge. Under the bridge there were small ships, trawlers and boats. We saw big fields, farms, trees, houses, hotels, shops, etc. while going there. Finally we reached there.

We went through a big gate. I saw 2 horses' statues by the lake. We saw an old house called Fort. We went inside the Folk Art and Crafts Museum. There we saw many things. First I saw things made of wood: Wooden Panel, Dressing Table, Garuda,Musical Instruments, Hand loom, Palanquin , etc. Then I saw things made of metal and iron:Sacrificial Knives,Hunting Instruments, etc. I also saw pictures of Radha & Krishna, Different Tribes, Ganesha, etc. I saw many, many things there.

There was also another museum. Joynul Abedin Museum, Inside Joynul Abedin Museum we saw mannequin of a Mother holding her child, Nakshi Kantha, Pictures, Jamdani Shari , Jewelery Box, etc.

And so after that we were very tired,so we rested for a while and then we had our lunch. The lunch was delicious. Then I saw some of my friends playing games and so I joined them too. Later our teachers told us about the histories about Sonargaon
and things around there.

Then the sky becomes dark and so the teachers call us to the buses. After that we saw the same things on the way back to home. But it took a 2 & half hour to reach home because of traffic jam. And finally we reached home at 9:30 pm.
